![]() Guard is a command line tool to easily handle events on file system modifications. These allow you to not only navigate through the buffer beyond what your screen is currently showing, but also to search all the output generated thus far, and to select and copy text that can be pasted in any other window in the tmux session. Tmux offers a set of vi-like bindings for navigating a buffer in a window. If you want to now paste the selected text back in to xterm, you must also hold down the shift key and then middle click in order to paste the text. ![]() ![]() Hold down the shift key and then left click and drag across the target text. If you have set the following options, you will notice that you are not able to select text at all: "mouse-select-pane" and "mouse-select-window". In tmux, there are certain options which if set will prevent this functionality.
